WonderCrone

Jennifer Butz founded WonderCrone after colliding with ageism at sixty, and the blog is the long-running heart of it — more than a hundred numbered reflections, one most weeks, on what she calls aging in power. She works in series: a run on Darwin turns variation, extinction and co-evolution into questions about which parts of a life are worth carrying forward; another sits with the adaptable heart and what fear quietly closes down. The register moves easily between a scammed birthday, an Albanian proverb, a stuck pickle jar, and the arithmetic of being more than halfway through. “Crone” is used deliberately here — the truth-teller and edge-walker, reclaimed from the insult.
