Refirement

Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom · Est.

A UK-based global movement, registered as a Community Interest Company, set up to reimagine retirement for women — and in particular to back mature women who are starting or scaling a business rather than winding down. Refirement’s premise is that women are living longer and retiring later, that many will stay economically active into their seventies and eighties, and that they should be able to do so without navigating other people’s assumptions about their age. As a CIC it reinvests its profits into member benefits rather than paying shareholders.

Membership brings masterclasses and networking, longevity coaching, a members’ directory and enterprise hub, an intergenerational “Wisdom Bridge” strand, a video library and a featured business-books list. The advocacy runs alongside the practical support: challenging stereotypes about older women in business, and making their achievements visible.
