Online For Authors Podcast

Hosted by Teri M. Brown · Weekly

Every Tuesday, novelist Teri M. Brown interviews an independent author about the book she has actually read and reviewed beforehand — where the story came from, how and why they write, and what is coming next, without spoilers. Genres run from historical and women’s fiction to mystery, fantasy and inspirational memoir, and the brief is deliberately away from the bestseller list. Once a month she adds an Online for Authors University episode on craft and the business of publishing: editing, marketing, book awards, notebooking your way out of a block.

Why it’s here: The audience is readers and writers of any age rather than women over 50 specifically. It earns its place because Brown published her first novel at 58, after leaving an abusive marriage, and she runs the show as an open door for authors starting out in the second half of life — useful listening for anyone with a manuscript still in a drawer.
